  about updating, but was told by Ranger Rep that this boat   
  has a better ride than newer ones. I may upgrade electronics  
  tho. I once had a wave come over the bow and go over our  
  heads, completely filling my 488 with water. The motor never  
  stalled, I hit the bilge pump switch, gunned the throttle and the  
  water went out the back. This baby stayed upright. Knowing   
  wewere in a Ranger kept us from panicking. A lesser boat   
  might not have faired as well. As one said before, "Once a   
  Ranger owner, always a Ranger owner. Don't settle for less."

  boat by the way). I've been extremely satisfied with this rig.  
  I basically got every Ranger option except the hot foot.  
  It's a dual console, CD player, ladder, cover, swing tongue,  
  lighted compartments, Hamby's SRS seats, hydro jackplate,  
  tandem trailer. I've been very impressed with the speed,   
  69.9 mph with very light load (Garmin 168 GPS).   
  68.1 with regular load. Impressively enough the boat will  
  run about 66.5 with three people, full tank, cooler full,   
  livewells full and everything. I fish the Ohio River quite a bit  
  and that jackplate is the deal."
