    the fastest boat, but they are the best if you're looking for a

     Redman Minnkota 74# Maxxum. "I just picked up this boat and can't  
     200 Evinrude seem to get it on plane. It has a 13 1/2" x 25" Renegade.   
  I can't believe that they used this boat in the Redman   
  All-American. The trim has to be set just right and the throttle  
  feathered to get on trim and by just right I mean exactly the   
  same every time.  It's going back to the dealer to have them  
  check the setup, but I want this to be corrected a.s.a.p. as   
  we don't have much season left up here in the north. Any  
  suggestions would be greatly appreciated."  
    Updated 10/1....... "Took the boat back to dealer; he looked at the prop and   
  says, "doesn't have a grass ring". Has one of the service guys  
  install it and that took care of the problem. Channels the   
  exhaust gas thru the hub, instead of around the outside. Still  
  not sure why it wasn't there in the 1st place.  
  Anyway, now it pops right out of the hole and reads 75 mph  
  wot on the speedo.  I like a bigger boat and the ride and  
  handling are great. Can't wait for next year!"

  versus 25" to keep rpms in safe range.  Don't need a jackplate  
  this puppy was humming as steady as a rock.  Absolutely   
  love this boat.  Let me know what you guys think about the

  "Purchased boat in April 2000. Previous owner took   
  exceptional care of it.  All upholstery & carpeting is new, the  
  trailer was refinished at the same time.  All work was done by  
  Ranger in 1999.  The gelcoat on boat looks as it it were   
  factory fresh! The motor has been completely overhauled as   
  of Oct. 2000.  My decision.  We removed the oil injection  
  system as that was causing serious problems.  I now mix oil  
  with the gas at 50 to 1.  The motor was over bored 30 thous-  
  ands and Boyesen reeds installed.    
       Updated 3/31/02... "All right! I finally got all the problems worked out for this rig!  
  Holeshot is now less than 8 seconds! I have had it up to 58  
  mph (speedo), but have some side to side chinewalking, which  
  I understand is good.  I was told I should be able to do better  
  but so far I have been slightly shy to do so.  I have to learn to  
  drive through it. I had it in for some serious work lately.
